Ranch Hand Study on Vietnam veterans by U.S.A. Air Force Dept.; showed that exposed veterans had 47% increase in adult-onset diabetes. The study found correlation between high levels of TCDD & diabetes. Agent orange was used as defoliant in Vietnam war & is composed of - 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (50%) - 2,4,5-Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (50%) - 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) (2 ppm); con taminant from mfg process |
