Contg Zr, Cu & possibly an additional metal, whereby the cited metals are precipitated as hydroxides, washed, dried, calcined & reduced preparable in that - Zr hydroxide is precipitated from aq Zr salt soln using a ba se until pH 4-10 is attained - The aq soln of Cu salt & possibly of an additional salt is added to Zr hydroxide suspension & by adding further base Cu hydroxide & possibly the hydroxide of additional metal is precipitated until pH 8-14 is attained - Suspension obtained is filtered, washed, dried, calcined in air at 450-600C for 2-4 hours & finally reduced at 200-250C in H stream for 2-4 hours |
