TECHNOLOGY REMOVAL OF protecting groups is a common task in LIBRARY syntheses
Fast removal of FMOC (See Abbrev.) groups from PEPTIDES. Removal of FMOC groups usually results in coproduction of dibenzofulvene. This coprodt is difficult to separate from reaction mixt & it can polymerize.
Working with Rahn Peter, author passes solutions of Fmoc-protected prodts through columns packed with silica gel that has been functionalized with 4-
aminomethylpyridine & tris(2-aminoethyl)amine. This procedure results in deprotection of compounds & scavenving of coprodts
