Method for treat paper mill condensate streams contg H sul fide, volatile mercaptans & Me sulfides consisting - Contacting flowing paper mill condensate stream having pH > 6.5 & pressure > atm. pressure with gas. CO2 at pressu re higher than pressure of condensate stream sufficient to produce a CO2-enriched condensate stream with pH < 6.5 - Reducing the pressure of enriched condensate in flash vessel to pressure sufficient to cause substantial portion of H sulfide & mercaptans to pass from CO2-enriched stream to gas phase - Conducting gas phase to an absorption tower or recovery boiler |
