Celanese, BOC in gases pact BOC has acquired Celanese's carbon monoxide plant in Clear Lake, Texas, as part of an agreement to supply industrial gases to Celanese at the site. For Celanese, the deal expands its pool of gas suppliers and reduces its operating costs. For BOC, the investment increases its supplies of hydrogen for pipeline customers and liquid argon for the merchant market. The deal also gives BOC its first major industrial gas supply position on the U.S. Gulf Coast. |
