Praxair forms recycling pact Praxair and Integrated Environmental Technologies are joining to market a plasma gasification system to treat waste generated at chemical, refinery, and electronics plants. IET's waste gasification system, based on technology licensed from Battelle and MIT, reforms organic waste into a hydrogen-rich synthesis gas. Praxair hopes to sell the technology to customers under the own-and-operate model it uses for industrial gas customers. Praxair says it can also reform leftover carbon monoxide to produce more hydrogen. |
