Dow completes nucleotides unit Dow Chemical has completed construction of its commercial-scale cGMP oligonucleotide manufacturing unit in Midland, Mich., that, depending on product mix, can produce up to 500 kg per year. The Dowpharma unit already produces material for early toxicology and clinical trials in 10- to 100-g quantities. It complements a nearby midscale cGMP facility capable of producing multikilogram quantities of oligonucleotides for later stage clinical trials and stability testing. Dow expects to run the first validation batches in the new unit before the end of the year |
