But the trucks would have had to go off-site to refuel, with refills taking about 20 minutes each. "That's what scared me off," he says. started feeding his trucks 100% biodiesel. The center tested the trucks' performance on Berkeley's notoriously steep Marin Ave., and found no problems, he says. The center stores the biodiesel on-site in big tanks. And though using biodiesel costs the Co. about twice as much as regular diesel, manager believes it's worth it. |
