PATENT CLAIMS Process for catalytically cracking a heavy hydrocarbon feed with particulate catalyst solids to selectively produce gasoline
- Delivering the feed to the entrance of an upflow riser reactor
- Delivering all of the particulate catalyst solids comprising
a xeolite comp. in combination with an alumina matrix to the
entrance of riser reactor at 1300-1600F & (catalyst solids)/
(feed) = 3-15
- Cracking hydrocarbon to cracked product gases at
800-1000F, pressure < 350 psig & hydrocarbon residence
time 0.05-0.5 sec
- Separating cracked prodt gases & catalyst in separator
Whereby the selectivity to gasoline is improved over a process operating at a higher residence time & constant conversion
