Process comprising - Adding gaseous blowing agent to mixing zone - Melting polymer in melting zone - Mixing molten polymer & blowing agent in mixing zone un der pressure to maintain blowing agent in mixt - Expanding gaseous blowing agent in reduced pressure zone wherein blowing agent in its expanded state develops froth cells in molten polymer - In the reduced pressure zone, reducing the pressure at the surface of the molten polymer in sufficient amount to remove all gaseous impurities - Recovering polymer in unfoamed state |
